History of the Carsic House
The house, with its farm buildings and borjač, is not dated precisely, but most probably dates back to the last two decades of the 18th century. Its current appearance dates back to 1831.
The most recent interventions were carried out solely for conservation purposes. Due to its modesty, the farmstead retains the appearance of old Karst dwellings, characterised above all by the use of stone for building and ornamental purposes.

Interior
Kitchen
The kitchen is paved with chiselled slabs; a large part is occupied by the raised hearth of the Mediterranean open type, surmounted by the napa hood with characteristic wooden shelves and ornamental tornakamin curtains. Next to the hearth is the wood-burning oven.
Bedroom
530834On the upper floor there is a bedroom and an attic. Today they are used as an exhibition space, where numerous exhibits are displayed.
Wine cellar
In the agricultural premises (the cellar), one can discover the activities that the Carsic man carried out in the past and that provided him with a basic livelihood. The tools and objects on display are taken from the most common activities: viticulture, animal husbandry and agriculture.
Barn
Today, the area above the stables is used for temporary exhibitions. The barn also houses the former stable, where the farmer kept his produce when he brought it from the field. The barn housed a wagon and various agricultural tools.
